Taking inspiration from the stone tablets found within the deepest reaches of Angel Island, Gerald Robotnik birthed Shadow the Hedgehog for his second and final attempt in pursuit of creating the "Ultimate Life Form". Shortly after completion, Shadow was captured and locked away in a military base for 50 years. Although he initially threatened the world with destruction, Shadow had a change of heart at the Earth's final hour, sacrificing his life to save everyone, redeeming himself and his mistakes in the process.
